Friday 11 September at 6.30 pm: A conference to mark the 50th anniversary of the Friuli earthquake.
Grado recalls the extraordinary experience of welcoming people that the town was part of in 1976. After months spent in temporary accommodation and, above all, following the violent earthquakes in September, thousands of people were forced to leave their villages.
As winter approached, some 6,500 displaced people from Friuli found shelter and support in Grado.
