On July 19th, 2025, Grado will host its traditional Summer Carnival, an event that attracts thousands of visitors every year from all over Friuli Venezia Giulia and beyond. The event, which has been held for over twenty years, has become a regular fixture of the Grado summer, capable of surprising and entertaining every year.
The parade of allegorical floats, coming from various locations in the region, will start at 9:00 PM from the Isola della Schiusa and will wind its way along the harborfront and the streets of the historic center. The floats, made with great skill and imagination, represent free themes chosen by the participating companies, who thus express their own vision of the carnival.
Accompanying the floats, about a thousand costumed figures, who with their joy and their disguises contribute to creating a magical and engaging atmosphere. Music, colors, and confetti will frame this great celebration, which will continue until late at night.
The Grado Summer Carnival is much more than a simple parade: it is a true open-air show, a moment of aggregation and sharing that involves the entire local community. The event also represents an important showcase for Friuli Venezia Giulia, highlighting the traditions and creativity of the region.
